Cushman & Wakefield is still finalizing its severance agreement with Liz Trocchio Smith, nearly four months after the firm let her go. The former executive vice president has lined up a formidable expert to provide counsel: attorney Gloria Allred.
The powerhouse lawyer, as well as colleague Nathan Goldberg, both partners in Los Angeles-based Allred, Maroko & Goldberg PC, first met with Trocchio Smith in Dallas a few months back. Allred, of course, is famous for prevailing in high-profile cases, many involving women’s rights.
Trocchio Smith also is a longtime supporter of women. She served on C&W’s global diversity council and was chair of C&W’s Professional Women’s Global Gateway, which provided a platform, tools, and opportunities for 1,500 members to network with other women across the globe within Cushman & Wakefield’s system. Trocchio Smith was awarded C&W’s first “Diversity Service Award” for her integral role in developing the program.
Her employment at Cushman & Wakefield ended in mid-October, after 12 years with the brokerage, 20 months after being promoted to a regional post (overseeing Dallas, Chicago, and Minneapolis), and after the Dallas office generated its strongest annual performance in a decade.
Trocchio Smith declined to comment for this story, beyond confirming Allred’s representation. Sources at C&W weren’t immediately available for comment.
